Usman is a highly diversified HR professional having over 15 years of vast and holistic hands on experience in complete spectrum of HR. His competencies include talent acquisition, training and development; compensation & remuneration; development of performance management system; organizational development; health, safety and wellness programs and strategies; administration; human resource information systems (HRIS); payroll; employee & corporate communications; employment/industrial/labor relations. Furthermore Usman is one of the few HR Professionals having rich experience in greenfield project and overall human capital development related to greenfield initiatives. During his association with Yamaha Motor Pakistan (Pvt.) Ltd., a subsidiary company of Yamaha Japan as Deputy General Manager HR & Admin, he was responsible for development & implementation of HR, Admin, HSE, CSR ,IT & Corporate Compliance functions and also contributing in strategic planning & decision making at the top to align the organization’s strategies with other business strategies and company’s objective.

His amiable personality and down to earth outlook makes him a much sought after and revered peer. His love for challenges and determination to success has been most evident when he took on the green field project of re-entry of Yamaha Motor in Pakistan. He played a strategic role in all spheres of HR, Admin, IT, HSE, Compliance and Finance. His most cherished moment was the hugely successful inauguration of Yamaha in Pakistan where he along with his team delivered on time and in budget. His cost consciousness and hard task master ability has landed him other KAIZEN projects. He attributes his success to his teams and their support. He is a stickler for details, strong internal controls, and holistic approach to business.

Having lived as an expatriate in his early life, his empathy and flexibility has made him a star amongst his expatriate colleagues, whom he trains and coaches. He started his corporate career at an early age in a large manufacturing group in the finance and accounting field, while at the same time pursuing his higher education. After doing his MBA in HR he proceeded to UK for specialization in International Business. During his career he has been fortunate enough to have experienced diverse industries of Pharma, Trading, Manufacturing, Chemicals and Textiles and knows the intricacies.

He is a certified trainer from a leading firm. He has been training on “Leadership”, “Teamwork”, “Time Management” & “Career Planning”. Being a “Certified SAP HCM” gives him an edge in HR IT solutions also. He has also been a guest speaker at various universities. He is a fitness lover and an avid sportsman and regularly plays with his colleagues.
